Upgrading your truck suspension offers several advantages, including: • Improved ride quality and comfort • Better handling and braking performance • Increased towing and hauling stability • Enhanced off-road capability and ground clearance • Aggressive stance and improved appearance • Reduced wear on factory components A quality suspension system can significantly improve both performance and durability.

Nexus Truck Upgrades carries a wide range of suspension components, including: Drop Kits – Lower your truck for a clean, aggressive stance and improved handling. Lift Kits – Raise your truck for increased ground clearance and larger tire fitment. Leveling Kits – Correct factory rake for a leveled stance. Performance Shocks & Struts – Improve ride control and stability. Air Suspension Systems – Adjustable ride height and enhanced load support. Heavy-Duty Springs – Built for towing, hauling, and durability. Control Arms & Suspension Hardware – Improve alignment, articulation, and suspension geometry. We proudly carry top brands like IHC Suspension, DJM Suspension, Intro Wheels, Esko Wheels, and Billet Specialties.

Choosing the right suspension setup depends on several factors: • How you use your truck (daily driving, towing, off-road, show builds) • Desired ride height (leveled, lowered, or lifted) • Tire size goals • Weight of accessories, cargo, or trailers • Budget and ride quality preference Our experts can help you select the perfect drop kit, lift kit, or suspension upgrade to match your build goals and driving style.

Use our vehicle selector tool at the top of the page to enter your truck's year, make, and model. This will filter all products to show only parts that are compatible with your specific vehicle. You can also contact our expert team for personalized recommendations.

THIS WILL APPLY TO ALL IHC CONTROL ARMS, BALL JOINTS, BUSHINGS, AND SHACKLES. IHC Suspension recommends to grease the control arms and ball joints during initial installation. Failure to do so will cause premature wear on ball joints, bushings, and possible noises. Once suspension has been properly greased at initial installation, recheck all hardware for proper torque values after the first 500 MILES. You will periodically service your suspension every 3,000-5,000 miles or 6-months, whichever comes first. If you live in an area where there is a lot of snow and salt on the road, IHC Suspension recommends to service suspension every 3 months or 2,500 miles, whichever comes first.

IHC Suspension recommends that all torque procedures be performed at initial installation as per instructions. Make sure you perform a re-torque after 500 miles and periodically every 6 months or 3,000-5,000 miles, whichever comes first.

Yes, larger wheels and tires can affect your ride quality. The key factor here is your tire sidewall height. The sidewall plays a major role in absorbing the road and directly influences ride comfort. When you increase wheel size you often lose sidewall height, which leads to a stiffer or less comfortable ride. While upgraded shocks or struts can help improve the feel, they will not fully restore the original ride quality you had with more sidewall.

IHC Suspension designs all its lowering kit based off stock wheels and tires to maintain stock turning radius. IHC Suspension keeps all stock turning radius in place as best as possible. Aftermarket wheels and tires with different offsets may affect turning radius. IHC Suspension recommends inquiring with a professional suspension/tire shop to discuss your options.

IHC Suspension does not recommend towing/hauling after lowering a pickup truck. WHY? After lowering a pickup truck, you have between 3 to 5 inches of clearance from the frame to axle. IF you add weight, it will reduce the suspension travel from frame to axle and cause bottoming out. IHC Suspension recommends installing a helper bag kit.

IHC Suspension recommends not to exceed 7,000 lbs. Keep in mind that tongue weight is much less once towing.

IHC Suspension uses Firestone 9000 air bags and are rated up to 115 PSI. We recommend to keep 10-20 PSI in the bags for daily driving. Keep in mind that depending on load the PSI will vary but never to exceed 115 PSI.

Air bags are rated for 1,500 lbs each giving you 3,000 lbs payload together.

The lowest lowering kit you can install on a 1988–1998 Chevy/GMC C/K 1500 (OBS) for proper fitment with wide wheels like Baby Billet 17×11, 18×11, or 20×11 is a 3/5 drop (3″ front, 5″ rear). This provides good clearance while minimizing tire rub. Front options include 3″ lowering control arms or springs. Rear options include a flip kit with 1″ lift shackles and drop shocks or shock extenders. Brands such as IHC Suspension, MaxTrac, Belltech and DJM offer compatible kits and components available at NexusTruckUpgrades.com.

The lowest recommended drop without cutting the frame is a 2/4 drop (2″ front, 4″ rear). Front: 2″ drop spindles or lowering springs. Rear: 2″ drop hangers, 2″ drop shackles, and drop shocks or shock extenders.

A 3/5 lowering kit is typically the lowest you can go without a c‑notch. Cab size, bed length, and load weight will affect final ride height.

A 3/5 drop is generally the lowest safe option without cutting the frame. Cab size and payload capacity should be considered.

No. Drop shocks do not lower your truck. They are designed to fit shorter suspension travel after a lowering kit is installed. Shock extenders can be used as an alternative.

C‑Notch: Provides clearance for about 6–7″ of drop by cutting the frame. Underbed Notch: Mounts on top of the frame under the bed for 7–9″ of drop. Step/Monster Notch: Requires bed modification and tubs for extreme drops of 10″ or more.

Shock extenders allow factory shocks to be reused after lowering or lifting by compensating for suspension height changes.

Most trucks allow 2″–4″ of rear lip. Chevy C10 trucks can often fit 6″–8″ due to increased clearance. Always verify backspacing.

Typically 6″–8″ in the rear depending on backspacing and wheel offset.

On stock suspension, blocks lift the truck. With a flip kit installed, blocks lower the truck.

Quality brands include IHC Suspension, DJM Suspension, MaxTrac, and McGaughys. The best option depends on your drop height goals, alignment needs, and ride quality expectations.

Yes. A leaf spring relocation kit allows fitment without converting to a 3‑link system. Available at nexustruckupgrades.com

Typically a 3/5 drop on GM trucks. Going lower can affect drivetrain and 4×4 functionality.

Suspension geometry changes. Adjustable upper control arms and a professional alignment are usually required.

Max Lip places the wheel face near the outer barrel. Reversed Lip mounts the face on the inner barrel ring, providing 1–1.5″ more lip but a smaller face diameter.
